Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

It is a life serving area for the distinct living beings in the world. It is in southern most part of India, Kerala. The main attractions in the sanctuary are the elephants when they are thriving hard for water in summer days, they have to walk in the sanctuary for quiet a some time to quench the thirst. It is spectacular moment of the sanctuary, where the tourists can spot the elephant and some other rare species. Spotting the tiger is a rare event in the sanctuary. If you can see the tiger and Nilgiri Tahrs, you will be very lucky on that particular day. The rare species in the world like flying lizard and flying snake are available in this sanctuary. Is it great for you people to witness some thing great. Leopard here are more in numbers and can seen if you wait for time period for their appearance.

The Mangala Devi temple in the nearby area of the sanctuary can offer you cultural sculptures and tells you the history of the India and Kerala. It is stone temple that is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mangala Devi. Nearby is the cardamom hill that has the spectacular views of the sanctuary.
